The River Aeron rises in Llyn Eiddwen, 7m north-west of Tregaron, and flows about 17m to sea at Aberaeron. Excellent run of sewin from June onwards with smaller salmon run. Brown trout plentiful but small. Spate river fishes well on a retreating flood.

Salmon, sea trout and brown trout. Aberaeron Town AC has a 2.5m stretch on R Aeron; 3m on Arth, a beautiful stream to the north, which holds the occasional brown trout and has a sporadic run of sea trout; and 2 stretches on Teifi, north of Lampeter.
