 Coarse Fisheries (River)

Just under 1 mile of double bank fishing between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth. Middle Hill Court is one of the premier Wye coarse fisheries. Barbel are common in this part of the Wye, running to low double figures, as are chub and pike. Other species include roach, dace, perch and even the occasional carp.

It is also a noted spring salmon fishery and includes the famous pools of The Rope, the tail of The Vanstone and The Parson Tree Stream. The Ford Stream provides a lovely hour’s fly-fishing set under a backdrop of Goodrich Castle.
Booking is through the Wye & Usk Foundation.
