The Heugh and Shield Bank Beat of the King Garth Fishery on the River Eden at Beaumont near Carlisle, Cumbria has rods available on a day, season and named day of the week basis for salmon, sea trout, brown trout and grayling fishing.

The beat is 870 metres of single-bank with 4 named pools. The beat starts immediately downstream of Monkhill Beck with The Heugh; a long slow moving holding pool which increases in depth past St Annes Well and only begins to shallow at the tail just prior to the highly productive Herrifers Rocks. Shield Bank and Lick Penny Draught pools follow and like The Heugh they are more suited to bait fishing and spinning, Herrifers offers excellent low water fly fishing to the careful wader.

Between 1989 and 2011 the beat produced up to 55 salmon a season, however the beat has been little fished in recent years. Located close to the Solway Firth and influenced by all tides over 7.4 metres the beat has the advantage of receiving fresh run fish even in low water.
