 Coarse Fisheries (Stillwater)

There are 3 pits here but the one closest to the M.25 is, historically, out of bounds.

The other two are very different waters both reached after a 5 min walk through the woods from the Aveley-Upminster Road, Essex (10 mins from Dartford Bridge on a good day)

The first is, possibly, the most popular and the banks reflect this. Nonetheless there is good fishing for most species - particularly bream which reach good sizes.

The second lake is irregularly-shaped, clear, deep in places and relatively quiet. It contains classically beautiful Essex rudd, roach, perch, tench, pike and good carp.

Tickets from the ranger's office in the car park.
